Kambihalli Estate is a Rainforest Alliance certified farm situated in the foothills of the Bababudangiri mountains in South India. The estate gets its name from the surrounding Kambihalli village. ‘Kambi’ means iron and ‘Halli’ means village, in the local language, Kannada, and is named so because the soil around this area is rich in iron.
Kambihalli estate has been run by the same family for 4 generations. Established by Mr. Muthana in 1948, the estate is currently with his grandson, the late Mr. C P Kariappa’s family - run by Kariappa's wife, Nalima, and their three daughters. Their mission is to create exceptional coffee with a purpose through conservation, empowerment, and honoring family traditions. We are excited to share their unique anaerobic fermented coffees produced with a focus on strict quality standards and consistent flavor profiles. Read more on the Kambihalli farm story here.
