Tasting Notes:
Indulge in the rich flavors of this coffee, a harmonious blend of sweet and tart fruits with a balanced sweetness. We taste flavor notes of dried apricot, pomegranate molasses, roasted almonds, date syrup and a hint of citrus on the finish. with a caramel and milk chocolate sweetness. The medium light roast gives this coffee a nice round body and a silky sweet mouthfeel that can be enjoyed black or with a dash of cream.

Pourover, Aeropress, Espresso
Coffee Origins:
Nestled between the tribal villages of Petakana and Janiguda in Odisha, SM Plantation is a small, family-run coffee farm that blends specialty coffee cultivation with immersive ecotourism. Originally established by Mr. S.N. Satapathy as a peaceful retirement endeavor, the plantation has evolved into a vibrant agroforestry model that integrates coffee with spices like pepper, cinnamon, and cardamom, along with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
For Mr. Satapathy, the coffee journey from seed to cup is driven by a deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. While the farm began as a quiet retirement project, it has gradually adopted rigorous specialty coffee practices that set it apart from traditional coffee farms in the region. These practices include selective hand-picking of ripe cherries, varietal separation during the post harvest process, and using primarily the natural (dry) processing method, where whole cherries are sun-dried on raised beds or patios. This slow drying process allows sugars and fruit flavors to infuse into the bean, producing rich, complex notes while maintaining clarity in the cup.
