FAQs

Brewing: You can use any brew method with our coffees, although some flavors will be highlighted more with certain brew methods. We have listed some brew guides for each of our coffee offerings. We encourage you to try different methods, grind size and coffee-water ratios to find your perfect cup.

Packaging: All our coffee bags are plastic0-free and certified 100% Compostable in a commercial facility, including the de-gassing valve and labels. See our Sustainability page for more details.

Roasting: We roast to order in small batches on a Loring S15 Falcon (7-33 lbs) at CoRo Coffee Roastery in Berkeley. We typically roast every two weeks, and ship you coffee that is 12 days from roast date or less. Each batch is roasted with utmost care and attention to deliver premium quality coffee consistently.

Shipping: We ship all over the United States with USPS and UPS as our shipping partners. We offer discounted rates and FREE shipping for orders $50 and above. Carrier recommended delivery time is 2-5 business days from ship date depending on the destination. You have the option to choose other carriers or expedited shipping service at checkout. You will receive an email notification when your order is shipped with the package tracking information. International shipping is also available now.

Sourcing: We purchase green beans from partners that ensure the quality of beans, fair/direct trade with growers, and sustainable business practices.

Storage: All coffees have a shelf life, and should ideally be used within one month of the roast date. Coffee will taste best when ground immediately before brewing. Grind only the amount of coffee you plan to brew and store the remainder in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight, heat, and sources of humidity.

Wholesale: If you would like to sell our coffee in your café, restaurant or store, please contact us at hello@kavericoffee.com. We will get in touch to explore a new partnership.
