Hi, my name is Tanya Rao. Kaveri Coffee Works was born out of a desire to do fulfilling work that centered around community building and my love of nature. Turns out it also unlocked a hidden desire to continue my family's coffee legacy. I grew up in Bangalore surrounded by a rich coffee culture with many cherished memories made around coffee. It is my desire to bring these nostalgic flavors and culture to coffee lovers in the Bay Area and beyond.

The age-old traditions of quality, authenticity and dedication still hold strong today. Our coffees are carefully selected from farms across India and delicately roasted in small batches in Berkeley, California.
Delivering coffee packed with flavor and purpose
Kaveri Coffee is named for the river that feeds the traditional coffee growing regions of Southern Indian. Here coffee is grown in lush forests amongst fruits, flowers, and spices. The result is a robust, full-bodied coffee flavor that’s easy to love.
The name is also a reminder of our roots and our ecological footprint. It is an opportunity to make a positive impact on local farm communities and preserve our heritage for future generations.
